Meet the organisations in our coalition:
Common Weal is proud to be a founding partner in the Ocean Rights Coalition. As a people-powered ‘think and do’ tank, we are committed to supporting all those making a positive difference to our planet and our society. We understand the critically important role that our oceans play in regulating our climate, and we share TORC’s views that much more needs to be done to protect them.
Scientists for Global Responsibility recognises that all life on Earth, including humanity and its existence, depends on the oceans, and so all life is dependent on and inextricably linked to the health, integrity, and functioning of the oceans. The oceans are not only a resource, but the foundation of all life and human wellbeing. As such, SGR fully backs the aims and campaigns of the Ocean Rights Coalition.
EcoSpectrum aims to provide equal ocean education to all students, particularly autistic and neurodivergent youth and children, encompassing every aspect of society necessary to drive marine research, ocean laws, the blue economy, and blue education for all. EcoSpectrum is joining the Ocean Rights Coalition to enhance accessibility and inclusivity in advocating for a sustainable and equitable future for our people and the ocean.
Nature’s Rights is a young international non-profit organisation committed to establishing rights of nature in law and policy in Europe and around the world – and transforming our inner and outer relationship with nature. With an international network of experts and volunteers, Nature’s Rights supports the global aims of the Ocean Rights Coalition.
